Learn How Amy Bodnar Turned Her Life Experience with Health Issues Into a Passion for Helping Others

When Amy Bodnar, became so sick that she lost the ability to walk, her life changed
forever. In 2012, Amy was struck with a mysterious condition that left her bedridden for
8 months. Doctors did not know what was going on and tests were getting very
expensive. Eventually, after much agony and frustration, Amy was diagnosed with
Functional Neurological Disorder, which is like an overload that happens in the limbic
system of the brain. She learned that her lifestyle was needing a drastic overhaul and
that healthy boundaries and lots of self care would be critical.

Flare ups for this condition can occur at any time, without warning and last for
indefinite amounts of time. And it wasn’t until she turned to holistic health practices
that she truly learned about her body and how to properly care for it.
“I grew up holistic, my mom was holistic,” Amy said. “If traditional medicine can’t find
you answers, holistic health is an option.”
After her long road of illness, then learning about holistic options, she was inspired
to go a step further and become a practitioner herself.

“For months, I was in bed, I couldn’t do anything, so I decided to study the practice
myself,” she said. “I kept thinking, I never want anyone to feel as crappy as I do right
now.”
So, she did just that and after four years of study, she became a holistic health
practitioner in 2021. Her business, Crossway Holistic Health, is unique because it is
mobile. Amy says, that’s because she wants everyone she meets with to feel
comfortable.
“I’ll say, let’s meet at your favorite coffee shop,” she said. “If we sit down like two friends,
we’re building a relationship.”

Amy’s clients buld lasting relationships with her. As she says, “we’re lifers now.” She
says she has a no patient left behind policy. And this is not because she wants you to
need her forever, it’s because she wants to you to know she is there for you, every step
of the way, through life’s journeys of ups and downs.
“I have a passion for people. I feel like, you are entrusting me with the most precious
thing, your life, your health.”
Amy believes that if her clients are handing over their vulnerability and putting their
health in her hands, then it is her duty to do everything she can to help then find the
answers they’re looking for.

I have no doubt that this is why God put me on this earth,” she said. “So, I want you to
have the energy and good health to be able to go and do the things you were called to
do.”

That’s why Amy’s services are all-inclusive. She takes each client through a very
thorough process, looking for root causes, making health changes as they go. She has
full lab services as well, which makes testing not only convenient and accessible, but
also more affordable. And her services include a full dispensary of medical grade
supplements.

“We take a panoramic view, we go over everything,” she said. And once a client has
established health goals, she provides continued support. “You can text me 24/7/365.”
Amy was just 32 when she got sick and thought, “what’s to become of me?”

Today, she supports a growing roster of clients, making this her busiest and
most impactful year yet. Even while navigating her own ongoing health
challenges, she continues to show up with resilience and dedication—stretched
at times but never stopped. “But, I’m here, I’m still here and I’ve got things to do, and
it’s okay to be selfishly healthy. And I want my clients to know that their health is a
priority.”
